Kids' Workshops
Elementary and Middle Schools (Grade K-8)
Mediacs offers a series of high impact workshops. They
can be tailored to meet your specific instructional needs. The in-class
activities are similar across the grades, however the depth of discussion
and resource materials is more complex at the senior level, in line
with cognitive development. Follow-up assignments are provided for each
workshop.

Parent Feedback:
"I would love to attend a longer workshop. Love the awareness you teach and the knowledge you share. It is a need in our society today."
"I want to attend more!"
"It reminded me that my kids can think about the things that are put in front of them and I can facilitate the thought processes.
I expected something more preachy. But this was anything but! I really appreciated the empowering message."
"This workshop exceeded my expectations. I’d like to participate in another session!"
"Detailed, professional, informative and engaging. Every parent should sit through one of these."
"This was a really good workshop. It reinforced
education is the key and how easy it is to incorporate media thinking
in our lives at home."
"To be honest I was dragged to this workshop. But it surpassed all of my expectations and was a truly fun, educational and enjoyable evening. Thanks for sharing your expertise."
"It was perfect. It gave me ideas and the confidence to tackle these subjects at home and in all my high school classes. Keep up the excellent work!"
"This workshop has helped give me tools to open
dialogues with my 9 and 6 year olds and maybe even help define my parenting
role and philosophies."
"It brought me up to date about computer issues. I already have a degree in communications but in all honesty, I hadn’t spent a lot of time reflecting on how kids have embraced and are using it. This was very helpful."
"Congratulations on taking all of your knowledge on marketing and the media and packaging it up for us parents who struggle though it all. It’s hard being a parent with our current sex-drenched and ultra violent culture, but you’ve given me the shot in the arm I need to revisit my parenting strategies and help my kids think through it."
In all Mediacs parent workshops we ask:
What is your greatest parenting challenge in the
21st century? (In 20 words or less.)
